During the summer months we receive more reports concerning anti-social behaviour. People are taking advantage of the warm weather and lighter nights as is customary.  The issue is that some individuals behaviour spills over...

The Phoenix Youth Project along with many of its young people are organising their fourth Fun For All Day inside Cleator Moor Civic Hall and outside on Cleator Moor Market Square on Saturday 7th August 2010...

A Step Towards Recovery

With a great sigh of relief I let my breath out as George Osborne announced his emergency budget. I'd been waiting the 60 days since the election to find out the true thrust of the Lib-Con coalition's philosophy and here it was. I've never minded being partisan and Egremont Today has always been a supporter of the long term sympathies of the Labour Party.....

 

A fantastic weekend that was for the local community the first step towards recovery after such tragic events. Council Leader, Elaine Woodburn’s view of the Whitehaven Festival was shared by thousands of visitors...

Little more than a month after that psalm was sung in Egremont Castle at the Pentecost service reported in our last edition it was sung again....
 

Earlier this spring Egremont today reported on the plans of a young Egremont student to climb the world's highest free standing peak, Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania...
