They get younger and younger, but 11 month old Ellie Napier who won her first red rosette in the fancy dress event at Egremont Horse Show Society’s summer event will be a hard act to beat. Sally Fenwick, 8 years old, has been riding since she was 1 and won the junior equitation event on Toby and somehow persuaded him to walk round with her pup on his back in a Dancing with Foxes act in the same event. 10 year old Ellie Naylor got the best out of yearling Shetland, Tom Thumb, in the young horses and ponies event, and at 4 year old Georgina Donaughee showed amazing control with Dennis in the Lead Rein event. Despite early heavy showers, the event was another great success and raised funds for Hospice at Home. Barbara Stephenson was delighted with the turnout and with the field opposite Pickett Howe, kindly loaned by Mark Hodgson.
